Extended Biography

"Living on the edge", an old adage that best describes the life of Jason Henderson. This was apparent when he was sitting on a rocking chair, teetering on the verge of death itself. He split his lip open as a result and learned a very valuable lesson.

For starters: gravity sucked and was a force to be reckoned with, but also he would adopt the strength and the grace needed to make it in life. This was an experience he learned on his own. A lesson far more brutal and unwavering than any exam.

Jason would find himself to be a performer with his scope ranging from model to rock star to comedian. He attended modeling camp where he learned valuable life skills like staring and being pretty. This would not sate his appetite as he explored his musical prowess by taking guitar lessons.

This too proved unsatisfactory for him until he discovered the drums. And so the beat would go on as Jason entered a rock band. This was not the only band he was in as he was the entire percussion section for his school band. The school betrayed him as he was denied the very skills he required in order to be a successful performer. The school was lacking a drama program which discouraged Jason from attending classes to watch the comedy channel. This was temporary however, as he would refuse to be beaten by the system just as he refuses to be beaten by gravity. Determined, Jason started his own improv group which he overlooked and ran. The group started out small with a modest selection of friends and ended up a school-wide function much to the adoration of teachers and students alike.

His thespian dreams were brought into fruition as he attended another school with a drama program. He went on to become an award winning actor, set designer, technician, and had the most promise in a play. Quite possibly ever. Oh yeah that's a lot of promise. He went on to become a professional clown/magician/assassin, well maybe not an assassin even though he was so funny he slayed then. Sorry, so anyway one fateful day Jason stumbled upon Ken Bonk, a professional juggler. He instilled words of wisdom on the impressionable Henderson and became a mentor. And so the way was paved though long and bumpy it has proved to be quite the ride.

He attended Niagara College for electrical technology. He was more interested in the lessons life had to teach him as he skipped classes to practice juggling and diablo. He managed to pass however, with an 85% average which proved that even though he was a clown he was no fool.

His first job was at a restaurant called, "The Chili Pepper". His task required him to juggle while wearing a chili pepper suit for four straight hours. Though daunting of a task, he was able to present his skillful art to the general public. Fed up, he finally quit the pepper job only to be rewarded with his first street performing gig. His stage was the galleria of the Fallsview Casino It was here he got his first taste of professional busking. He picked up other gigs at Cafe TuTu Tango and M.T. Bellie's where he fine-tuned his skills and felt the audience (not literally) for what passed as entertaining and impressive. His abilities earned him recognition as well as a fan based much to the chagrin of gravity. And so Kobbler Jay was born and no one had to fear the thralls of the oppression of gravity. The people loved him for it and showered him with praise and money for keeping the gravity demons at bay and something to talk about the next day in their dull, gravity-filled lives.

And so Kobbler Jay lives on, giving 100% to his loyal fans and to his art. He is constantly looking for new fantastical feats to flabbergast frustrated families from foul and flustering forms of fabricated and fraudulent fancy. With all those F- words how can you not bring your family and friends to see Kobbler Jay?
